FINANCIAL TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Manage OV funds and help other Teams with monetary aspects.
Draw up a yearly fundraiser/monetary expenditure schedule, complete with a budget (and allocations for specific areas/Teams), goals, priorities, ad order.
Organize and host fundraisers, donation drives, and other money-related/money-raising related expenditures.
Keep accurate data of OV money and funds, and be transparent about funds.
Create appropriate budgets and allocate them fairly.
Time Commitment Estimate: 5ish hours a week, 5+ depending on season.
Expected Skills: Financial literacy, keeping track of things, knowing how to use spreadsheets well, calculations, transparency, communication.
FINANCIAL SECTION HEAD RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS:
Partake in the same duties of the Financial Team.
IMPORTANT: Act as the last "verifier" on all of the Financial Team's work thus far before finalizing.
Also acts as the final decision maker in budgetary allotment.
Report to the Head Team and adult supervisors the planned fundraiser and monetary expenditures schedule and budget.
Act as the primary communicator between the Financial Team and any other Teams as necessary. Includes communicating with adult supervisors.
Expected to take any reports, concerns, or inaccuracies directly to the Team or supervisor in question if a Financial Team member has not done so already.
Keep the Financial Team accountable and timely.
Compile key points in a notes format for the Head and Outreach Teams.
