JOURNALISM TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Obtain stories of collaborations, highlights, other groups, and opportunities.
- Responsible for finding interviewees.
Compile all the information and provide details to the applicable other Teams.
Continuously communicate with schools, local and external groups, and individuals.
Organize and select what to feature along with other applicable Teams.
Communicate with the Head Team, adult supervisors, and featured individuals/groups on permission and logistics.
Work with the Podcast Team to document OV events and video features.
Time Commitment Estimate: 1-3 hours a week
Expected Skills: Communication, synthesis, accountability, impartiality

JOURNALISM SECTION HEAD RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS:

Partake in the same duties of the Journalism Team.
IMPORTANT: Act as the final "verifier" on all of the Journalism Team's work thus far before finalizing.
Act as the primary communicator between the Journalism Team and any other Teams as necessary. Includes communicating with adult supervisors.
- Expected to take any reports, concerns, or inaccuracies directly to the Team or supervisor in question if a Journalism Team member has not done so already.
Keep the Journalism Team accountable and timely.
Compile key points in a notes format for the Head and Outreach Teams.
Time Commitment Estimate: 1-3 hours a week
