Organize and select what to feature along with other applicable Teams. Communicate with the Head Team, adult supervisors, and featured individuals/groups on permission and logistics. Work with the Podcast Team to document OV events and video features. Ensure that OV as a whole is running smoothly and is aligned with its Explore-Connect-Build mission. Time Commitment Estimate: 3-7 hours a week, depending on how busy the season is. Expected Skills: Organization, keeping everyone accountable and on track (including themselves), communication, adaptability, time management, knowing how to work all digital software relevant to OV functions, and being very familiar with OV objectives, impacts, and events. ASSOCIATE MANAGERS (A.M.s) RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Assist Director in general and help supervise. Will be the ones conducting interviews and making final decisions with Director and adult supervisors. Each A.M. will be assigned 5 Sections to oversee that each Section is fulfilling their tasks effectively and in a timely manner (ASSOCIATE MANAGERS WILL NOT BE EXPECTED TO RUN THEIR ASSIGNED SECTIONS), then report back to the entire Head Team. A.M.s must be highly committed, bringing experience in organization, communication, leadership, and creativity. A.M.s are expected to be working with and communicating with the Director and adult supervisors continuously. Example tasks of A.M.s may include responding to and sending emails, assisting Director and adult supervisors in all OV-related logistics, helping organize, communicate, and check in with other Teams, external organizations, schools, and individuals, and helping with finalizations in their assigned Sections if needed. Time Commitment Estimate: 3-7 hours a week, depending on how busy the season is. Design the website and other OV online sites/products. Includes choosing a color palette, consistently sticking to the OV theme, building a recognizable, memorable visual brand, creating an OV logo, and remembering to incorporate it on OV-related sites. Ensuring layout is easy to understand, and the website is navigable. Work with the Verification Team for final polishes. Time Commitment Estimate: 2-6 hours a week, depending on whether we’re changing up layout, features, and how busy the season is. Expected Skills: Very familiar w/ OV digital software, sense of OV’s design, theme, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS OF THE LAYOUT SECTION HEAD: Partake in the same duties of the Layout Team. Find individuals and groups online to collaborate with, DM, and respond to anyone online about OV. Check in with Head Team and/or adult supervisors before responses on definitive details. Cross-check information with any applicable Teams and/or adult supervisors if any discrepancies or errors crop up. Maintain an appropriate, professional account and responses to DMs. Post on time and with high quality + accurate visuals and information. Condense information given by the other Teams into key points that are easy and quick to read and understand.
